Francois Ajenstat has published news about the SQL Server 2008 release roadmap. Summarized:

  • Feature complete CTP for the launch wave in Q1 2008
  • Release Canidate (RC) in Q2 2008
  • Release to manufacturing (RTM) expected in Q3 2008
